SCYLLA AG is one of the oldest shipping companies on the rivers of Western Europe. This Swiss shipping company has been operating its fleet for far more than 30 years.
The crew on board the SCYLLA ships treats every passenger to an unsurpassed nimbus of romantic shipping atmosphere. The last word in ship technology combined with a luxuriously dignified interior.
SCYLLA operates river cruises in ships with roomy but never overloaded public rooms and generously dimensioned cabins.
Service and Destinations
SCYLLA AG is a shipping company which only charters out its ships to tour operators. Reservations are not available for individual passengers (Exceptions: journeys "from the factory", transfer relocations, etc. See www.scylla-tours.com). The SCYLLA ships are to be found in the brochures of leading German and major American tour operators.
The regions served by SCYLLA ships are basically all Western European rivers which can be reached from the home port of BASEL (Rhine, Elbe, Danube, Moselle, Main, Neckar, Dutch waterways, Mittellandkanal etc.) as well as the Rhône (starting in 2007). SCYLLA TOURS no longer operates on the river Po, where it was the first shipping company to deploy a cruise ship in 1997.
A selection of cruise destinations offered by operators who charter SCYLLA ships includes the Danube Delta, Prague, Berlin, the Island of Rügen, Hamburg or Kiel, from Amsterdam to Basel, Nuremberg, Frankfurt, Heidelberg or from Arles to Lyon.
